Ma’anshan Yangtze River Bridge was officially opened to traffic.
The bridge is one of the national key projects, totally costs RMB 7,078,000,000. With a total length of 36.14km, among which covers the part crossing the Yangtze River of 11km, it was designed in an expressway standard with dual way six lanes. The main bridge crossing the Yangtze River is divided into two parts by the central shoal, the right part and the left part. The right part locating on the Ma’anshan side is the first three-pylon two spans cable-stayed bridge with arch-shape towers in China. While the left part near the Hexian County is a three-pylon two spans suspension bridge, with a length of 1080m, the main span ranks the first among bridges of the same category around the world, and it symbolizes the breakthrough of the span of such category main bridges from 100m to 1000m.
MBEC undertook the construction of the left three-pylon two spans suspension bridge.
