On March 14, 2014, the final template of cast-in-situ box girder for Package A1 of Quanzhou Bay Seacrossing Bridge undertaken by the 2nd Engineering Company of MBEC is completed. The proposed box girders are part of right bound of 11th template cast-in-situ girders for approach bridges in South Bank having a length of 116m, design concrete volume of 1623.6 m3 and cast by two times.
The cast-in-situ box girders of 11th template for approach bridge in South Bank for Package A1 is four span continuous prestressing box girders which are composed of left and right bounds having girder depth of 3m, width of 163m and total concrete volume of 4888.8 m3.
In order to guarantee the programme target and drainage safety in rainy season, the MBEC project office has strengthened the leadership, painstakingly organize and manage the construction works, continuously optimize construction proposal, and mobilizes a great deal of human and equipment resources so as to complete the fist construction phase within 23 days starting from mobilization of human and material resources to the first casting laying a solid foundation for subsequent construction works
The Quanzhou Bay Seacrossing Bridge is the key engineering projects in Quanzhou City, starting from Nantang Country in Jingjiang City and ending at Tapu by Spanning Over Quanzhou Bay having a total length of 26.7km, in which marine viaducts have a total length of 12.45km and approach parts on both land have about 14.7km. The bridge type is twin tower separated combined girder cable stay bridge by adopting three column gantry cable tower which is the biggest Seacrossing infrastructure project across bay in Fujian province
